MISSION STATEMENT: TO PROVIDE A SAFE HAVEN FOR SENIOR AND SPECIAL NEEDS EQUINES.

VISION: A WORLD WHERE EVERY SENIOR HORSE IS IN A LOVING HOME.

Horses as a whole are discarded when they can no longer perform a service for people. In 2023 more than 3,200 unwanted equines were processed through one local auction yard in Billings. Over THREE THOUSAND EQUINES! That doesn't count the owner-surrender requests that rescues get daily. That doesn't count the active cruelty cases happening in our area. That isn't a drop in the bucket when you look at the whole United States, and all the loose horse auctions that take place daily. That number also doesn't include the wild horses stuck in holding pens around the country. There are more equines than homes in our nation currently. WE have a problem with unwanted equines and over-population. WE have to start finding answers, because in the end the equines suffer.

This problem is so big, we are choosing to start locally. We have shelters for our dogs, cats and other small animals. Why not these majestic animals as well? We don't want to turn away equines…we don't want to know they will suffer and enter the auction pipeline or go to slaughter. But that is currently the reality we face. Some horses will stay with us forever while others will go on to find their forever homes with wonderful families. Help us make a difference. Help us fund a place for unwanted horses and mules in Yellowstone county.

We are 100% supported by donors. Please consider a donation to help us be a voice for those that don't have one. Horses as a whole are discarded when they can no longer perform a service for people. We are here to ensure older horses and mules get the retirement they deserve. Some horses will stay with us forever while others will go on to find their forever homes with wonderful families.
