ADOPTABLE LATER - STILL IN REHAB
STAR
An owner surrender 26 year-old mare from eastern Montana. Her owners moved across country and felt she would be better left with us. She has almost no top teeth, is on mash and hay stretcher, and working to gain weight so she can find her perfect retirement home. Star is a spit fire – she will let you know what she thinks of you and the situation. She isn't mean, she just knows what she does and doesn't like.
DOVE and MILLIE
We found these two at the loose horse auction. Dove was entered for sale, and Millie was born around 7 AM on the day of the auction. Dove is an unhandled mare from a Montana reservation. She is still young so having a baby in the sale pens was stressful on her. They are currently getting healthy and putting on weight. Millie is a happy filly, sweet and full of energy, while Dove is starting to accept gentle touch from certain people.
HANNAH and PAYTON
Hannah and Payton came from the loose horse sale. They were both very skiddish around people, but Payton is now leading with a halter! No idea on Hannah's age, but we think Payton is about 6-7 months.
SNOWDROP & JASMINE
We got this a bonded pair from Southern Montana in October 2023. Estimated to be in their mid-20s, these girls were extremely neglected. They were almost starved and their feet were in bad shape when someone from the family called us to help. Snowdrop and Jasmine now live with one of our fosters; they continue to gain weight and get healthier everyday. Snow was recently diagnosed with Cushing’s and takes one pill of Prascend a day.
Although they came to us bonded, they have discovered their own identities and will be available as a pair or as single adoptions if desired.
